Rules
Our borrowing rules are purely to keep Grow MO Seed Library sustainable and free to use.
These rules include, but are not limited to:
Persons borrowing seeds need to review Library-approved materials covering the basics of raising returnable plants
Persons borrowing seeds would fill out a table (pictured below) prior to borrowing those seeds
We also have a set of returning rules for the same reason:
Label your returned seeds
as much as possible
(species, variety, where you got them from etc.).
Save from a number of plants so that we have genetic diversity, in order to prevent inbreeding.
If a plant is labeled in the “tricky” category, isolate it to prevent cross-breeding within the species.
Try to save from the healthiest, best-tasting plants.
Make sure your seeds are as dry as possible.
Clean your seeds before you return them and remove any chaff.
If you have a lot of seeds, consider putting them in multiple packages so that many people can enjoy them
