Light pink-lavender fruit with white shading. Rich, mild flesh is very popular with chefs and gardeners. No bitterness.
Give eggplants a head start on the growing season by starting them indoors, 6 to 9 weeks before the average last frost. Soak seeds overnight to encourage germination.
Space them 2½ to 3 feet apart in all directions. Water well.
The fruit grows to about 4 to 6 inches in diameter and 5 to 7 inches long. The best time to harvest is when the fruit is still shiny and smooth.
